DEAR MEAT EATING VEGAN HATING GROUPS
Eating vegan, plant based meals has gained increasing popularity in the news lately, in TV commercials, among the stars, with health conscience individuals, those concerned with the planet and those concerned with compassion. On the rise are also groups with names similar to Meat Eaters Against Vegans, with full on carrot bashing themes. That’s fine, go on with your bad self, I fully support the sharing of opinions, that open conversation is what makes this country so freaking Amazing.
So, Just for fun :)
Dear Vegan Hating Groups,
Enjoy your plain steak, glass of milk and egg.
Don’t eat My Food.
Step back from the plants.
No gravy over steak for you, gravy has flour it, that is my food. Don’t you dare season your steak, rack of lamb, chicken breast, chicken wings, or ham. Flavor packed plants are mine, no pepper, oregano, rosemary, garlic, shallots, olive oil, lemon, or spicy hot wing sauce. Forget ordering mash potatoes, baked potatoes, cream of spinach, or candied yams. Beer and garlic fries, F ya! Oh, but you better not touch that shit either. Say bye to bread, pizza, pasta, whisky and wine, don’t go near my flour, sugar, tomatoes, sugar, basil, bell peppers, spicy peppers, pineapple, onions, black olives, barley, corn, wheat, or grapes. Step back from that hot dog bun, sugar drowned yogurts and ice creams, sugar is from a plant, #offlimitstocarnivores.
That burrito that you are about to chow down on, hold on a second, it better not include a tortilla, rice, beans, guacamole, salsa, read sauce, or chile verde, and please, hands off of the chips.
This is just the tip, all of that food that you eat that is not animal based, that is my food. Go make your meals without my food.
Allow me to suffer with my protein packed, nutrient dense, mineral filled, good fat carrying fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and oils.
So go on with your muscle tissue, breast milk and unfertilized eggs from bird vages.
As a side note, take a moment to wonder why a meat eating person would stop eating animal products, it’s not like we don’t get it, I would guess that 99% of vegans used to be very much meat eating, dairy munching food eaters. But can you take a moment to question, what the F did that person see, learn or experience to make them be disinterested in nomming down on a pork roast, rack of ribs or chicken leg? Dude, I will tell you it is some f-ed up shit, some shit that I never thought could or would happen, I thought that there were regulations, that there had to be some rules in place to prevent cruelty, to stop daily and nightly tortures. That is not where standard procedures are right now for farmed animals. It is not how lions get their food if you will.
Some of us also put weight into examining the health aspects too, the hormones intended for a different species, antibiotics, lack of fiber, vitamins and minerals from animals fed corn and synthetic additives. There is the fat argument that I hear a lot, fat IS good for you, you need it to cushion and protect your organs, help with brain development, help regulate your blood sugar and insulate you, but the cool thing is that your body makes that just the same as the animals bodies do that you are eating. Chances are that your body has you covered already, just look down to your tummy, thighs, or butt. Your body likely already stored some energy away, and will continue, so don’t feel like eating someone else is the only way to get that fat. The only fats does your body does not make on its own are Omega-3s, which you can find in walnuts, black beans, flax seeds, kidney beans, edamame, pumpkin seeds and chia seeds.
Take away, Vegans don’t hate meat eaters, and if you hate us, don’t eat our F-ing food, eat your own f-ing food, oh and maybe ask yourself why anyone would ever stop eating animal products.
P.S. No I am not Asian, even though 80% of people ask me that. I am white, NOT that it matters, I just don’t want to hear the question. And, my specialty dish used to be Cornish game hens, now it is white northern beans sautéed in white wine, garlic, oregano and spinach over pasta or grains, it is a home run every time ;)
